Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NextIQTech LLC ("LostAndFoundSite", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit lostandfoundsite.com (the "Website"), request a demonstration, or register your organization's interest.
This policy covers the Website only. Information processed within the LostAndFoundSite platform on behalf of our customers is governed by our agreements with those customers.

Information we collect
Information you provide
- Demo requests: your name, company, business email address, phone number (optional), industry and any message you include.
- Location sign-up requests: your organization, industry, name, email address, phone number, number of locations, current solution and any comments.
- Contact messages: your name, organization, email address and message.
- Correspondence: the content of emails you send us and our replies.
- Record of your agreement: when you submit a form, we record the date and time, your IP address and browser type, and the versions of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that applied, as evidence of your agreement. We keep this record with your request.
Information collected automatically
- Technical and log data: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, and the date and time of each request. This is recorded by our servers and by our content delivery and security provider.
- Security checks: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates browser signals to distinguish people from automated programs and prevent spam.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Website, such as pages viewed, time on page, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), and clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Microsoft Clarity may create recordings of how pages are used; text typed into form fields is masked and not captured. Analytics run only if you accept them (see Cookies and analytics).
Providing information through our forms is voluntary, but we need the required fields to respond to your request.

The table below summarizes the categories of personal information we collect, as defined by US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and how we handle each.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account details, precise geolocation or health information), and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
How we use information
- To respond to your request, schedule and deliver demonstrations, and evaluate location sign-ups.
- To communicate with you about LostAndFoundSite products and services relevant to your organization.
- To operate, secure and maintain the Website, including preventing spam, abuse and fraud.
- To understand how the Website is used and improve its content and performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Automated spam checks on our forms only determine whether a submission is accepted.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
Where European or UK data protection law applies, we process personal information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and operating a secure website, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, with your consent (for analytics), or to comply with legal obligations. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Website and our business. Each acts under a data processing agreement that restricts its use of the information to providing services to us:
- Amazon Web Services: website hosting and email delivery.
- Cloudflare: content delivery, network security and spam prevention (Turnstile).
- Google: business email (Google Workspace) and website analytics (Google Analytics).
- Microsoft: website usage analytics (Microsoft Clarity).
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of LostAndFoundSite or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the information remains subject to this policy.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes (California "Shine the Light" law).
Cookies and analytics
The Website itself does not use cookies to process your form submissions. Our providers may set the following:
- Strictly necessary: Cloudflare security and Turnstile cookies that protect the Website against bots and attacks, and a record in your browser of your analytics choice. These do not require consent.

Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics
(for example
_ga) and Microsoft Clarity (for example_clckand_clsk) cookies that measure Website usage.
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics. Analytics do not load unless you choose Accept All, and choosing Essential Only is just as easy. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We ask again after 12 months. Our Cookie Policy lists each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a refusal and analytics do not load. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
How long we keep information
- Requests and correspondence: for as long as needed to respond and maintain our business relationship, and no longer than three years after our last interaction unless you become a customer.
- Server logs, which include form submissions and IP addresses: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Security
We protect information using encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to authorized personnel, and credentials limited to the minimum permissions each system needs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our safeguards regularly.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and process information there. When information about visitors outside the United States is transferred to the United States, we and our service providers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your privacy rights
EEA, UK and Switzerland
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and Swiss data protection law, you have the right to access your personal information, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to our processing (including direct marketing), to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California and other US states
If you are a resident of California or of another state with a comprehensive privacy law, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and access a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we hold about you;
- receive your personal information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and significant profiling (we do not do any of these);
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request" and tell us which right you wish to exercise. To protect your information, we will verify your request by matching the details you provide with the information we hold and by confirming your email address. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm your identity directly.
We respond within one month for requests under European or UK law, and within 45 days for requests under US state law. We may extend these periods where the law allows, and will tell you if we do.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal". We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General.
You can unsubscribe from any marketing email we send by using the link in that email or by contacting us.
Children
The Website is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Links to other websites
The Website may link to websites operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we will make that clear on the Website.
